Green Cross Veterinary Products Launches ‘G-Rep Dragon Fruit,’ a Customized Nutritional Solution for Reptiles

Enhanced Hydration and Palatability… Expanding Dietary Solutions for Exotic Animals

Green Cross Veterinary Products announced the launch of “G-Rep Dragon Fruit,” a new product under its premium reptile feed brand G-Rep.

The new product is a functional supplementary feed designed based on reptiles’ feeding habits and nutritional requirements. It was developed to address potential nutritional imbalances associated with insect-based diets while enhancing palatability.

“G-Rep Dragon Fruit” is formulated with red dragon fruit, known for its high moisture content, to naturally encourage hydration in reptiles. It also utilizes the fruit’s distinctive aroma and color to improve feed acceptance.

In particular, the product offers a differentiated solution in terms of hydration, taking into account the ecological characteristics of reptiles, which are often exposed to dry environments.

Additionally, it is designed to support dietary rotation, allowing variation from insect-heavy diets and providing a more diverse feeding experience.

Compared to fruits such as banana and fig, the product features a relatively low-calorie profile (approximately 50–60 kcal per 100g), making it suitable for animals requiring weight management.

From a protein standpoint, the product is also competitive. “G-Rep Dragon Fruit” utilizes 100% cricket-based insect protein to provide a balanced supply of essential amino acids, closely mimicking the nutritional structure of natural prey.

This makes it suitable for nutritional supplementation during growth and breeding periods.

During the development process, Green Cross Veterinary Products conducted more than 16,000 feeding tests to verify palatability and intake stability. The results demonstrated high feed acceptance and strong palatability.

The G-Rep lineup currently consists of Insect (insect protein-based), Fig (palatability-focused), and Dragon Fruit (hydration-enhanced), offering an integrated nutritional solution that can be selectively applied depending on breeding conditions and individual characteristics.
